John was raised with an agricultural background where he grew to love horses and the outdoors. He served an LDS mission to Arkansas where he learned some valuable lessons about people and cultures. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Utah State University in 1997. He then went on to complete a master’s degree from HBS in 1999. From there he was led to institutional asset management and venture capital work.
Great lessons were learned from the experiences there, but he felt that he needed to help individuals and small business to have the sacrifices honored that had been made, so he decided to pursue values-based planning. He has spent the last two decades working to improve that process.
Having been involved in various aspects of the financial system gives him a great advantage in planning with his clients. He has helped many families transfer a great deal of wealth in the last 20 plus years and has helped over 500 households find financial independence.
John has been asked to give presentations on the economics of decision making and the disciplines of independent wealth to companies like Coke, Campbells soup, Proctor and Gamble, and Union Pacific as well as many schools.
When he is not working on helping clients reach their financial goals, he enjoys showing Reining and Ranch horses with his wife Natalie and his three children Brinley, Meikel and Wyatt. He also enjoys working on the farm and volunteering with the local 4-H groups.
Tausha is the loving mother of 4 children: Cole, Tanner, Shyanne, and Xander. She is a Cache Valley native who loves the outdoors and is very involved in sports of all kinds.
Cliff has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry where he has helped many with their personal and business protection planning. Prior to his entry into this field, he had received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering at Utah State University. He practiced as a licensed Professional Engineer and left the industry as a shareholder in a leading national consulting engineering firm. During his time working in financial services, he has worked with clients who started with him working as employees and now own the companies that once employed them. He continues to work with small business owners with their growth and succession planning. Also helping their employees with their personal and retirement needs.
